Since 2012, St. John Hospice has provided families in Antigua and Barbuda with resources and information on grief, death, and the dying process. AUA’s Faculty Liaison Dr. Shannon Nanna has been working closely with St. John Hospice Administrator Jane George-John to develop a program that will allow AUA medical student volunteers to assist in creating original literature and disseminating information to patients and their families. These volunteers will work with patients, families, and staff at the hospice as part of AUA’s community outreach program.
