How to apply for financial aid

The loan options available to finance your medical education can be confusing. Throughout your years of medical school at AUA, the Office of Student Financial Services will work closely with you to ensure that you have the necessary information to make informed financial aid decisions. Submitting the FAFSA is not the only step you must take for your loans to be processed. Use the information on this page as your guide to assist you with successfully navigating AUA’s financial aid application processes.

The information on this page will help you to:

    • Complete and submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®)
    • Complete and submit an Entrance Counseling Session
    • Complete and submit your Master Promissory Note (MPN)
    • Apply for a Direct PLUS Loan (Only for students wishing to borrow PLUS Loans)
    • Complete and submit your Grad Plus Master Promissory Note (MPN)
    • Complete the Student Loan Acknowledgment
      • The Department of Education recently made this requirement effective; although not mandatory to attain loans, we would want students to better educate themselves by completing this when applying for loans.
