BLS/ACLS Training Center
The American Heart Association™ International Training Center was established in partnership with representatives of the Mayo Clinic. Aimed at instilling the critical components of basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) for both adult and pediatric patients, the Center’s programs integrate academic knowledge and skill proficiency. Students are taught airway and IV management and electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition. Simulated emergency code scenarios are utilized to enhance critical thinking skills. All programs are required components of the Preclinical Sciences curriculum.
