We appreciate your interest in AUA College of Medicine and we’re here to help you understand what is needed to become a part of the AUA community.
For your convenience, AUA has a rolling admissions policy. This allows applicants more flexibility to apply. Classes begin in February and August.
The AUA Admissions Committee evaluates applicants holistically: all pieces of the application package matter. The Admissions Committee reviews your academic record and personal statement to evaluate whether you are prepared to pursue a rigorous medical education.
Current and prospective students are encouraged to view our tuition and fees page to understand what goes into your medical education. The cost for the entire MD program is approximately $151,525. AUA offers financial options to assist you with funding your education. Contact Student Financial Services to learn more.
When you are ready to apply, visit our requirements page to ensure you have all the necessary documents and academic prerequisites completed to be considered for our medical program.
A general guideline of requirements will include:
• 90 credit hours of college courses with certain prerequisites
• Complete application
• Passport-size photo
• Application fee of $75.00
• A personal statement
• All official transcripts from each undergraduate, graduate, medical, and/or professional school attended
• Two letters of recommendation
• If you are an international student, your TOEFL or IELTS Scores
Even though the MCAT is required to matriculate, the MCAT is not required for admissions. AUA believes there is no correlation between the test scores and becoming a successful, licensed physician.
