Thank you for your interest in American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA)!
American University of Antigua College of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the Caribbean, boasts a U.S.-modeled innovative curriculum, technologically advanced campus and facilities, and an expansive network of clinical affiliates. AUA is accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP). AUA’s medical education satisfies the medical school education requirement to practice medicine in all 50 states and U.S. territories, Canada, United Kingdom and other countries.
AUA uses a holistic admissions approach to select students with the potential for medical school success and provides them with the resources they need to obtain highly competitive residencies and move on to successful careers in medicine.
We believe that any student who has proven him or herself to be a hard worker, demonstrated compassion and a commitment to service, and shown a deep interest in science and patient care deserves the opportunity to study medicine. Time and again, this method of assessment has been the best indicator of how well students will fare once they encounter the rigor and challenges of medical school. It has been an accurate gauge of how likely they will be to embody the values that AUA College of Medicine instills in its students.
As you go through the materials below, it will be clear that we take the same holistic, individualized approach to how we educate our students. From focusing on small-group active learning to our campus and its vast facilities, to our tight-knit community, we are an institution that believes in investing in each of its students.
