American University of Antigua College of Medicine is an international medical school that uses a medical curriculum that is comparable to curricula used in the UK, US, and Canadian medical schools. AUA was created to give aspiring students an opportunity to study medicine in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Recognitions
Based on a review of AUA’s curriculum by UK’s General Medical Council (GMC), any doctor awarded a primary medical qualification from AUA will be able to apply to sit the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test and for GMC registration, without having their qualification individually assessed. The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and physicians. The GMC supports them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met. Read more at www.gmc-uk.org.
