Dr. Sophia Bellegarde

Pathology
Harvard Medical School Affiliate/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (MA)

I matched into my first-choice residency in pathology at Harvard Beth-Israel. I am the first medical doctor in my family. I decided to become a physician to make a difference. I was a scientist for about a decade before going back to medical school and I never saw myself in that seat. AUA prepared us to match into residency but also it gave us the rigor to face the interviews, and be able to be competent within that process.

Dr. Meryl Braun

Internal Medicine
Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital (CT)

It’s definitely a unique, life-defining time for the whole world, for all medical professions. The quality of education at AUA is top notch. Every resource you need is there, every professor is there…that wants you to be the best doctor you can be.

Dr. Nikita Srivalsan

Internal Medicine Resident
Bassett Medical Center (NY)

I am from Calgary, Canada. This was a very, very long road. I went through the AICASA [now AUACAS] program, so it was a six-year long program. [AUACAS] was one of the biggest factors for my success throughout basic Sciences. AUA has given me this path to get to residency in the best way possible. The rotations that I did, including the electives that I did, they prepared me so well to start residency. AUA gave me so many resources to be able to be successful in completing medical school and matching into a residency the first time around, which in itself is a very big deal.
