AUA Alum Dr. Anjan Marella Sheds Light on Eating Disorders During National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Dr. Anjan Marella (Class of 2015), a Psychiatrist with Samaritan Hospital’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, was recently featured in a NEWS10 segment for National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (February 24 – March 2, 2025). Dr. Marella emphasized the importance of recognizing eating disorders in both young and older women, highlighting that women are twice as likely as men to experience an eating disorder in their lifetime. He stressed the need for early identification and encouraged individuals struggling with eating disorders, or those concerned about loved ones, to seek help.
