Under the terms of the partnership, suitably qualified students from AUA, after completing their first two years of education in Antigua, will be able to transfer to UCLAN to complete their clinical education within the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) environment. Participating students will benefit from exposure to a diverse patient population, a new health system, and a rich academic culture, and will graduate with a medical degree from UCLAN

“This collaboration broadens the horizon for our students and strengthens our mission to prepare globally minded physicians,” said David Graham MD, Provost of AUA School of Medicine. “By partnering with UCLAN, we are giving our students access to world-class clinical training opportunities in one of the most respected health systems in the world.
The new pathway is designed for students who meet clearly defined academic and professionalism standards, ensuring readiness for the transition to clinical training in the United Kingdom. Both institutions will provide academic advising and support services to guide students through the transfer process.
