American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine is excited to announce that it is now a member of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH). As a CUGH member, AUA College of Medicine joins a network of over 19,000 individuals involved in global health and over 145 academic institutions worldwide. This opens up many new opportunities for the AUA community to share knowledge, build partnerships, and engage in advocacy across research, education, and service. CUGH members are able to participate in global health-themed conferences, workshops, and webinars, and access CUGH’s online information hub of materials for educational and program development.

CUGH is dedicated to increasing the availability of adequate healthcare and reducing health disparities by bringing together universities in resource-rich countries with universities in resource-poor countries. The Consortium was established in 2008 with generous funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation to help fulfill the vision of the university as a transforming force in global health.
