Research stipend recipients Neha Patel and William Yuen really gave AUA its money’s worth by placing first in the poster competition at the National American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) this month! The competition took place at the ACOFP’s 54th Annual Convention & Scientific Seminars in Kissimmee, Florida. The focus of their research was a case study of pleomorphic sarcoma, a rare type of musculoskeletal cancer, in an African American male. When we think about the concept of physician-scientists, we’re reminded that AUA students like Neha and William are the future of medicine. We are extremely honored by their achievement!
