America University of Antigua (AUA) held its first Fantastic Fun Fair on September 5, which provided fun activities for orphaned and disadvantaged children in Antigua. AUA students spent the day supporting and mentoring children from local group homes Mustard Seed, Sunshine Home for Girls, Good Shepherd, and The Victory Center.

AUA student Sabrina Ali organized the fair with the support of AUA clubs and local businesses. The fair included face-painting, jewelry making, karaoke, sports, and dancing. AUA students provided Basic Life Support demonstrations and encouraged the children to become physicians.

“It was definitely a good venture since many of AUA’s activities do not focus solely on children,” said native Antiguan and AUA student Tiffany Benjamin. “The children appeared to enjoy themselves and the councilors were personable and encouraging to kids who needed an extra support system.”
