American University of Antigua Names AUA Provost Dr. Peter Bell as its 2nd President
After a comprehensive, nationwide search, Dr. Peter Bell, Provost and Vice President for Global Medical Education, will become the new President of American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA), and will provide overall strategy, general management, administration and leadership of AUA/Manipal Education Americas. He will begin his presidential tenure on June 1, 2024. Before he became Provost at AUA, his former roles have included: Executive Dean, Clinical Sciences and Executive Dean, Pre-Clinical Sciences.
Along with Dr. Bell’s history at AUA, he brings to this role a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a profound commitment to advancing education and shaping future leaders in the medical field. His appointment comes at a crucial time for AUA, as it continues its mission to provide excellent medical education and to make a difference in the global healthcare landscape. With his impressive achievements and exceptional qualities, AUA will be taken to new levels of excellence.

Dr. Bell will replace current Founder and President, Neal Simon, who is retiring from AUA after 20 years as president.
