Dr. Vasagar is currently Founding Associate Program Director and Interim Medical Director of Tidelands Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Family Medicine Residency Program in Murrells Inlet, SC. She is also an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and an Attending Physician at MUSC in Charleston, SC. “I am thankful to AUA for helping me become the type of physician who wants to improve not just health, but health care.”

After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Dhaliwal completed a residency in UnityPoint Health Peoria Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Today, Dr. Dhaliwal is an Attending Physician at Florida Hospital Medical Group in Orlando, FL.

After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Soni completed a residency in General Pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY. She is currently a General Pediatrician with CareMount Medical Group in Fishkill, NY.

Dr. Haftka-George graduated Magna Cum Laude from AUA and was Chief Resident in her final year of an internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.  She is currently an Academic Internal Medicine Senior Staff Physician at Henry Ford and is the Associate Program Director of its internal medicine residency program.

After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Khan began a residency in internal medicine at Canton Medical Education Foundation/NEOMED in Canton, OH. After her residency ends in June, Dr. Khan will begin a fellowship in infectious diseases and clinical research at New York Presbyterian and Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan and Queens, NY.

Dr. Tano is a second-year pediatrics resident at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL. She is in the process of applying for a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Joseph began her residency in internal medicine at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, WI. She is currently completing her third year in the program. After her residency ends, Dr. Joseph will begin a cardiology fellowship at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Doherty completed a fellowship in internal medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is currently a gastroenterology fellow at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Aley Hamadani

After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Hamadani completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee/Jackson-Madison General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He stayed on at the University of Tennessee afterwards as an Emergency Medicine fellow. Currently, Dr. Hamadani works as an emergency medicine physician at Jackson-Madison General and a hospitalist at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN.

After graduating Cum Laude, Dr. Kolakalapudi completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In 2017, she completed a fellowship in Cardiology at University of South Alabama in Mobile. Dr. Kolakalapudi is currently a noninvasive cardiologist at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton, GA.

Dr. Vicente Gari
Class of 2010
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from AUA, Dr, Gari completed a one-year research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, during which time he published two articles and gave a podium presentation. He then began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was awarded the Mary Jo O’Sullivan, M.D. Resident Research Award. Once he completed his residency, Dr. Gari received his board certification from the Florida Board of Medicine for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Today, he practices at Cardella Obstetrics/Gynecology/Urogynecology in Miami, FL with Dr. I. Anthony Cardella.
Dr. Joseph T. Vitale

After Dr. Vitale graduated Cum Laude from AUA, he completed a residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s University Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Dr. Vitale currently runs West Paterson Family Medical Center. West Paterson Family Medical Center is a private practice in Woodland Park, NJ with over 20,000 patients including inpatients and outpatients of all ages. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at NY Medical College.
Dr. Zubair Khan

Dr. Khan is the Vice President of Hospital Operations for InCharge Medical Professionals in Indianapolis, IN. Previously, he was a Hospitalist for Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Khan was an AICASA pre-med graduate and graduated Cum Laude from AUA in 2011 at age 21. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI. In his final year of the program, Dr. Khan served as Chief Resident.
