AUA Student Places First at MEET in Cannes, France
Kenneth France, an AUA student completing his clinical clerkships has won 1st prize in the poster presentations at the Multidisciplinary European Endovascular Therapy Conference (MEET) event held in June, 2008, in Cannes, France.
MEET participants are invited to share their endovascular experience and to promote their work in the aortic, carotid and peripheral field. It is a unique opportunity for physicians from around the world to present their recorded live case studies.
France completed his Vascular Surgery elective at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island. He was invited by his faculty sponsor Vincent Piccone Jr., M.D. to present his poster at the event. His paper is titled, “Efficacy of Carotid Stents with Risk Factor Modification in Patients at High Risk for Carotid Endarterectomy.”
AUA congratulates France on his achievement and thanks him for contributing to the cutting edge of scientific knowledge.
