Class of 2015 Dr. Eronmwon Okoye recently began practicing at Seton Hall University of Health and Medical Sciences in South Orange, New Jersey as a Psychiatry Resident. After she graduated Summa Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Okoye completed an observership at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Department of Psychiatry in Pomona, New Jersey.
Dr. Karishma Patel
Class of 2011 Dr. Karishma Patel began working as a Primary Care Specialist and Geriatrician at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA in July 2017, shortly after she completed a fellowship in Geriatrics with Hofstra Northwell Health in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Patel completed her residency in Internal Medicine at The Brooklyn Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2015.
Dr. Nitasa Sahu
Class of 2013 Dr. Nitasa Sahu is an Academic Hospitalist at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Dr. Sahu, who graduated Magna Cum Laude from   AUA, is also working towards her MBA in Healthcare Administration through the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Said Awad
Class of 2015 Dr. Said Awad is an Internal Medicine resident at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, FL. After graduating Cum Laude from AUA in 2015, Dr. Awad entered Brandon Regional’s inaugural class of residents. At the time, Florida ranked 42nd out of 50 states with fewer than 18 medical residents and fellows on duty per 100,000 people. Brandon regional launched the program to help address this shortage.

Class of 2013 Dr. Natasha Dave is a Nephrology fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Dave completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Edris Alderwish
Class of 2010 After graduating Summa Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. Edris Alderwish completed a preliminary Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, NY. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at NYU-Lutheran Medical Center (now NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn) in Brooklyn, NY, and then a two-year fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Alderwish is now a Cardiology fellow at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY.
Dr. Kris McJenkin
Class of 2016 Before Dr. Kris McJenkin was a med student, he worked at the Centers for Disease Control. Today, he is a Hospitalist at Navicent Health Center, a Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. After graduating Cum Laude from AUA, Dr. McJenkin completed a residency in Family Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. He also completed his MBA while studying for his medical degree at AUA.

Class of 2008 Dr. Monique Leung is an OB/GYN specialist at Hawai’i Pacific Health in Honolulu. She recently completed her residency in OB/GYN at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Leung distinguished herself at Saint Peter’s by winning an award for Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery in 2017. In her final year in the program, Dr. Leung was Academic Chief Resident. Dr. Leung graduated Summa Cum Laude from AUA.
 Matt Comito e1510846042975 Dr. Matthew Comito
Class of 2014 Dr. Matthew Comito has accepted a fellowship position in Duke University Medical Center’s Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology program. Dr. Comito, who is in his final year of a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital, was one of just 30 residents nationwide to receive the AUR Radiology Resident Academic Leadership Development (ARRALD) scholarship. The ARRALD Program, provides focused mentorship, leadership, and academic development activities to a group of high-potential second-year (PGY-3) radiology residents. The program’s objective is to prepare them as leaders in academic radiology as they progress to the next stage of their careers. Dr. Comito graduated Magna Cum Laude from AUA.
Peter Sangra, MD

Dr. Peter Sangra (Class of 2012) was accepted into a fellowship program for child and adolescent psychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Sangra is currently completing his residency in psychiatry at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Narissa Etwaroo, MD

Dr. Narissa Etwaroo (Class of 2013) is a fourth-year resident in psychiatry at Lousiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. She plans to specialize in addiction and forensic psychiatry.

  Ronak Desai, MD, Janki Shah, MD

Dr. Ronak Desai and Dr. Janki Shah, who are husband and wife, graduated from AUA together in (year 2010), and work in Greenville,  South Carolina. Dr. Desai works in outpatient internal medicine at Cypress Internal Medicine, and Dr. Shah is a hospitalist at Greenville Memorial Hospital. They did their residencies in internal medicine at Virginia Tech’s Carilion health system in Roanoke, Virginia. Afterwards, they returned to Dr. Desai’s hometown of Massena, New York to work in an underserved area as traditional internists.

Richard Kim, MD

Dr. Richard Kim (Class of 2012) just finished his residency in pain management and rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is excited to be starting a fellowship in sports medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center soon.
