Sonya Ford Sonya Ford, EdD, LCPC, NCC, NCSC – Director of Counseling

Dr. Ford earned her undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University in psychology, Master of Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University in school counseling, and a Doctorate of Education from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in counseling psychology. She holds two Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study from The Johns Hopkins University in Clinical Community Counseling and in Higher Education. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and National Certified School Counselor (NCSC). Dr. Ford was an adjunct professor at Walden University in the School of Counseling. She had a private practice, for over a decade, counseling children, adolescents, and adults. She has presented at local, state, national, and international conferences on counselor advocacy and mental health. Dr. Ford is currently the Director of Counseling at the AUA University Counseling Center.
