Dr. Robbins received the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Havana, Cuba in 1986 and graduated with “Summa cum Laude.” Earlier in 1976, he has received a Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) degree with specialization in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Guyana. He has been in private veterinary practice since 1986 and in 1994, he established the Pioneer Kennels & Veterinary Clinic a renowned specialist in animal handling and restraining, Dr. Robins is a certified professional dog trainer of West Virginia Carine College in 1992, Master Dog – Trainer – Auguata K9 Services, Virginia in 1999 and a K9 Narcotics Detection Trainer/Instructor in 1999. In 1991, he co-founded the Antigua and Barbuda Humane Society and became its President. In this position and through the organization, he addressed many issues relevant to the national economy, public health and human safety. Also, he was instrumental in the passage of the Dog Registration and Control Act by the government of Antigua and Barbuda. Currently, he is the chairman of Antigua and Barbuda Veterinary Board.
