AUA Secures CAAM-HP Accreditation

American University of Antigua College of Medicine’s MD program was granted a two-year provisional accreditation by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP) this June. CAAM-HP was established in 2003 and is the legally constituted body established to accredit medical, dental, veterinary, and other health professions programs leading to professional degrees required for practice in Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states. AUA Signs Two Articulation Agreements with SUNY Plattsburgh

American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine has signed two articulation agreements with SUNY Plattsburgh State University (PSU). The 3+4 Accelerated Program allows qualified students to apply to AUA after their sophomore year and matriculate into AUA College of Medicine after three years at PSU. Alumni Profile: Donish Siddiqi - Class of 2013

Dr. Donish Siddiqi is not just passionate about medicine, he’s possessed by it. Instead of enrolling in college immediately after high school, he got a job at a local hospital as a phlebotomy technician. He soon realized that he could help more people by becoming a physician so he enrolled in a 2-year pre-med program at American International College of Arts and Sciences – Antigua (AICASA). Through an articulation agreement, he enrolled at American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine after completing AICASA’s program. After six years of medical education, he will become a Family Medicine resident at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, NY. Read full news story »
