Housing at KMCIC
KMCIC offers lodging in Manipal for all its students.
The hostel provides a bed, study table, chair and locker for each student. Every hostel has solar hot water facilities, washing machines, a common telephone, a common TV room and a common reading room. Some hostels have indoor game facilities and a gymnasium. You will have to bring your own soft furnishings and linen. The Food Court is conveniently located and a variety of food is available at Manipal. First year students are accommodated in designated hostels only.
Refund of hostel fees, deposit and utility charges
In case a student withdraws from the course prior to the commencement of classes, full refund of the hostel fees deposit and utility charges will be made as per university policy.
Change of Room
Students will be permitted to change accommodations from one category to another depending on availability and at the discretion of the Chief Warden.
House Rules
· Students are not permitted stay away from his/her room during the night without prior written permission of the Chief Warden. Any student wishing to leave the campus, temporarily or otherwise, should obtain written permission from the Chief Warden. Those applying for permission must state the date and time of his/her intended departure and return as well as the destination.
· Students are required to keep the noise level low. Please be respectful of your fellow students.
· All pets are prohibited inside the hostel. Feeding stray dogs or cats on the hostel premises is not permitted.
· Hazing in any form is banned inside and outside the campus.
· Students are advised not to keep large amounts of cash or valuables in the room. The student is responsible for the safety of his/her belongings inside the room.
· All visitors, including parents or guardians, may only be entertained in the Visitors’ Lounge, during specified hours only. A Visitor’s Pass is mandatory for all visitors and can be obtained by students from the Chief Warden’s office.
· Students are responsible for the costs of any damage incurred to hostel property.
· Cooking is not permitted in hostel rooms.

Mode of Payment
Hostel fees, deposits and utility charges may be remitted by a demand draft in favor of ‘MAHE Hostels’, payable at Manipal/ Udupi/ Mangalore.

Telephone and Internet
Students have the following options for a telephone connection:
· From the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) for a direct line. This will be provided based on the waiting list.
· MU telephone connection which is an internal campus extension with long-distance connectivity. A refundable deposit of Rs 5,000 will be charged.
· Internet points are available in AC hostels on a monthly payment basis. An internet kiosk is also available in Indira hostel at Manipal.
· A common internet kiosk, TV room and common reading room are available at the Mangalore campus.
