Dr. Zaphia Simpson is a proud native of Antigua & Barbuda. She completed her pre-medical studies at the American International College of Arts and Science before going on to obtain her Medical Degree at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2016. She then went on the complete a medical internship at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, Antigua, further developing her clinical knowledge and skills. Upon completion, she spent a year and a half as an AUA Graduate Teaching Fellow where her passion for medical education was realized. During this time, she guided and supported students as they navigated the challenges of pursuing an academic career.
As an alumna she understands that she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to students which she believes will assist them during their academic pursuits. She believes that through perseverance, consistency, endurance, discipline and support, students are capable of successfully achieving their goals.
