In July 2011, the Medical Board of California voted to recognize AUA College of Medicine. This allowed our graduates to apply for medical licensure, enter residency training, and complete clinical training in California teaching hospitals. Less than a year later, we are proud to announce our affiliation with the Valley Consortium for Medical Education in Modesto, CA. This collaboration makes our graduates eligible to train in the specialties of Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice. The announcement is particularly noteworthy in light of the pending shortages of physicians specializing in Internal Medicine and Family Practice. Thanks to this new arrangement, both AUA and residents of California will benefit in terms of the expertise our graduates will acquire and the care they will provide.
