Dr. Chobanyan graduated with honors and earned an MD degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia, a PhD degree from I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, and doctor of medical sciences degree after completing research, which identified hyperandrogenemia in young breast cancer patients under the age of 35.

Dr. Chobanyan graduated with honors, received an MD degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia, a PhD. from I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, and doctor of medical sciences degree after completing research, which identified hyperandrogenemia in young breast cancer patients under the age of 35. In addition to her research, she has more than 50 publications in the peer-review journals, including The Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Carcinogenesis, Evidence-Based Oncology, European Journal of Oncology etc. Her pursuit of excellence is also evident in receiving her Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification in 2008. She also completed clinical fellowship in oncology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

 

Dr. Chobanyan has more than 20 years of practice experience including surgical oncology, medical oncology, diagnostic and internal medicine, as well as providing healthcare in rural and underserved communities. She was Chair of Faculty of Diagnostic Medicine for Board Certification of physicians, Professor of Medicine teaching medical students in European and U.S medical schools. Additionally, she served as Chairperson of State Examinations of physicians of the National Institute of Health, Armenia, and Medical Director and Executive Director of the leading National Diagnostic Medical Center. She is member of American Society of Clinical Oncology and European Society for Medical Oncology. She continues to serve as chief medical advisor to organizations in Europe and the United States.
