$1,500 Travel Stipend for Rotations in India
American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine has excellent news for its students who wish to expand their scope of knowledge by completing rotations abroad.
In order to provide a rounded medical education that exposes students to a multi-cultural international environment, AUA now offers a onetime $1,500 travel stipend to India. The stipend will help students take advantage of unique training opportunities at respected Indian hospitals, including King Edward Memorial Hospital and Apollo Hospital.
These programs have a wide variety of electives available, including sub-internships in all specialties. 12-week electives taken in three 4-week blocks must be completed to qualify for the stipend. Please note that elective rotations depend on completing core rotations in a particular subject area, scheduled through a student’s Clinical Coordinator and approved through the Office of the Executive Dean, Clinical Sciences.
This opportunity will enhance students’ clinical portfolio by securing one of the many quality rotations in India. The cachet of rotations completed at a high-level medical facility in India will contribute to a student’s CV and help obtain residencies and future employment.
Students should contact their Clinical Coordinator for specifics as quickly as possible, as stipends may only be available for a limited time.
